We decided to have a postpartum night doula for our second child and were so fortunate to have been matched with Mayara! From our initial zoom call, she was warm, genuine, and professional. She listened to our all concerns and questions to ensure that we felt comfortable since it was our first time. We requested 6 weeks at first, then 10, and then 12- as you can see, we couldn't let her go! We greatly enjoyed having her part of our family during that time.
As second time parents, we remember that the first few weeks can be quite brutal- so she guided us in early sleep training for longer stretches and other new techniques. During her last weeks, our baby was already sleeping through the majority of the night! Her daily recaps were always detailed and organized, so we could note any milestone growths throughout the week. Mayara's communication is top notched as well- always easy to get a hold of her via text or email. She is also very knowledgeable and non judgmental when it comes to breastfeeding, pumping, and formula. I was so grateful that she helped me countless times on issues like nursing positions, latching, and clogged ducts, etc.
Most importantly, she prioritized the well being of our whole family by ensuring that we all had restful sleep. Her respectful and intuitive nature gave us the security to relax during the night knowing our baby was in safe loving hands. We will miss her dearly, especially her smile as we exchange pump parts at 3am! Mayara is truly a wonderful doula and will be a great addition to any growing family.
