This was our second baby and our second time working with Jet City Doulas — and it was just as incredible as the first! Katie supported us this time, and she was such a steady, reassuring presence from start to finish.
In the week leading up to labor, I was having early contractions and feeling uncertain about when to head to the hospital. I was anxious about getting there too early or too late, and Katie was the calm, confident voice I needed. She eased my worries and helped me trust the process.
Once we were at the hospital, Katie was a strong and respectful advocate with the medical team, making sure our wishes were heard. As labor intensified, she offered exactly the guidance and grounding I needed in those intense moments. Things moved so quickly that the baby was crowning before the midwife or OB arrived, but Katie stayed completely calm and collected — she guided my breathing to slow things down and even gloved up, ready to catch the baby if needed!
Thanks to Katie, I felt safe, supported, and truly cared for every step of the way. Her calm confidence and kindness made all the difference in our birth experience. We’re so grateful to her and to Jet City Doulas for being part of our family’s story — twice now!
