y, for medical reasons, it became a hospital birth. I still had planned to do things as naturally as possible, but as all plans go, it ended up being a C-section. I wasn’t sure how I was going to be supported via Doula for a C-section, but as soon as I came out of the OR I was met with everything I needed before I even asked Kiera had set up the room, helped me with the baby help me with the initial latch for breast-feeding new to take pictures of these precious once in a lifetime moments and advocated and explained things for me… not only did she support me she supported my husband all through the pregnancy by giving resources and sending us many links and other materials which was very helpful. I was extra thankful that she continued to support us postpartum breast-feeding was a lot harder and difficult than I ever imagined and her support helped make things easier. She offered lots of educational resources, but just support as well. I felt that I was failing because I hadn’t gotten as much milk as I thought I would and she reassured me that I was a good mom about a week later my milk was enough to support my baby and then some I think her positive words and educational resources greatly helped. No matter your birth plan she will be supportive and present no matter the direction it goes.
