Repeat client here. My husband and I first hired Kiera to be our doula for the birth of our first child which was a homebirth with midwives. I knew I wanted a doula present with me at the birth, but I was honestly nervous about picking who would be in my birth space... I'm so happy that I met Kiera! She really helped me through my first birth! We then hired her for the two births following the first!
During my pregnancies, she built trust and learned my birth preferences. She was supportive, reassuring, and a wealth of resources and knowledge.
At the births, Kiera has worked seamlessly with my midwives and husband to help me relax and feel empowered. There were times in my births that she provided just what I needed- whether it was comfort measures to help relieve pain, someone to lean on during intense moments, words of encouragement, or just the feeling of security that someone is there who can help you advocate for yourself when you are vulnerable.
Kiera has also helped ease each transition during postpartum, this last one especially. My baby spent time in the NICU and it was hard on our family. Kiera went above and beyond to be there for us during that time, even when I'm sure we were not the easiest clients. Her actions spoke volumes to me about who she is as a person, a sister in Christ, and the genuine love that she has for the families she serves. When I was living there in the NICU and stressed, Kiera did extra work to come up with ways to serve us. She saw that I needed nourishment, so she put together a care package FULLL of delicious food I could eat in the hospital. It boosted my morale so much and was such a practical way to help. It was so needed. I will never forget that gesture.
Kiera is a phenomenal doula! She's got skill, dedication, and heart.
