My husband and I loved our experience with Enza! As first time parents we were so overwhelmed with everything that goes into birth and the many decisions we had to make, which led us to the decision to hire a doula. After our first meeting with Enza, we knew she was a going to be a great fit for us and did not have to look any further. She has kind, warm and accepting presence and fully listened to all of our concerns and desires for our birth with no judgement. She gently guided us in the right direction in creating our birth plan based on our hope for a natural and unmedicated birth and her many years of experience. Unfortunately, I ended up having to be induced and Enza was immediately there helping us through many unanticipated moments during labor. Her support guiding me as far as I could go unmedicated and ultimating ending in an urgent c-section was invaluable. Her relationship with all the staff at Beverly Hospital was very comforting as well. All the nurses and midwives were so happy to see her, you just knew she was a loved and respected member of their team. She stayed with me during the entire c-section, even when my husband had to leave with the baby. My biggest fear was having a c-section and I am so grateful for her calm presence and support every step of the way. My labor was 48 hours and I think she took a 20 minute power nap that entire time, I truly do not know how she does it! Being a doula seems to be her true calling and we are so happy and grateful she was part of baby girl's birth!
