I wish I had Megan for my first birth, but am so grateful to have had her be a part of my second little one’s birth. I could not have asked for a better support during my pregnancy and birthing experience that I had with Megan for myself and my husband. I had a hard pregnancy and Megan was always taking the initiative to reach out to see if I needed anything, was always generous, and thoughtful when it came to my needs both during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
My birth experience quickly became something unexpected with needing to be induced and Megan took it all in stride. She helped me through a difficult week leading up to the induction. Then when the time came, Megan showed up in the middle of the night at the hospital and went above and beyond. Megan knew exactly what to say and do when I was in labor as well as always anticipated my needs. She reminded me that I was safe when I needed to hear it the most and knew just what to say to encourage me through it all. It is one of the many things that will always stick with me and helped me manage the difficult aspects of labor.
My words can never fully express how much I appreciate all that she did. During labor I doubted myself and my ability to have an unmedicated labor, Megan never wavered and believed in me and helped me navigate my self-doubt. Having Megan as my doula not only created a beautiful birth experience that left me feeling empowered, but strengthened my marriage. She did a beautiful job encouraging and empowering my husband as well to be my rock during labor. I felt incredibly loved, seen, and empowered because of Megan and her dedication to her clients. She truly is an incredible doula and anyone who has her support is lucky and will walk away feeling empowered.
