Mel was fantastic from start to finish. This was my second birth, and they tailored the experience to mimic what I liked the first time and improve upon the things I didn't like. I had to be induced, and one of my main goals was to minimize time on the epidural to hopefully not be completely numb to contractings during pushing (I pushed 5 hours the first time). They were extremely proactive with helping me navigate the pain and I was able to get to 7cm on pitocin before getting an epidural. Mel was always doing something helpful throughout the many hours of labor, and by phone even before they arrived. I was hesitant about getting a new doula when my prior doula (who I loved) wasn't availble, but Mel was truly amazing, and if I had another baby I would absolutely choose to work with them again and will recommend them to anyone who asks!
