We recently had the joy of working with Susannah Glass for the second time this August for our planned home birth. She's the real deal! Her prenatal visits and knowledge of Body Ready method techniques helped address some pregnancy discomfort I experienced in the final month, and gave me added confidence that I was physicaly prepared as I could be for the birth itself. She was attentive via phone during a long early labor and such excellent in-person support during active labor and delivery. Labor was intense, but her calming presence and continuous counterpressure during contractions made enduring far easier. Susannah perfectly balanced attentive listening with encouragement. When I was experiencing severe pain in one particular spot and just wanted to curl up on my bed, she helped coax me into laboring in a different position that eased what I was feeling and helped keep labor progressing. She also worked excellently with our team of midwives and my husband. Going into labor, I knew the hours ahead would be immensely challenging, but knowing Susannah would be there throughout meant I could face that travail with calm confidence. Susannah is calm, level-headed, informed, and boasts a dry-wit to boot, exactly who you want to help navigate all that birth can be. We're so thankful for the care she provided our family!
