Having Tatiana as our doula was one of the best decisions we could have made. Tatiana responded promptly when labor began. Her calm yet confident energy to guide me through labor was exactly what I needed to keep me sane through the contractions. Especially as nurses and doctors would change shifts and come in & out, she was there by our side the entire time and communicated between the nurses and doctors. When the medical staff expected us to make hard medical decisions quickly to progress labor, she was there to translate so we can understand risks and considerations. When our baby had swallowed some meconium and needed to be observed by the NICU doctors, she was there to help us explain what was going on and gave us some peace of mind in a moment of panic after delivery. I can say now that my labor and delivery went relatively smoothly, but cannot imagine what a different experience it would have been for us without Tatiana’s support.
