Haley is an incredible doula! As a first time mom, I wanted to do everything I could to best prepare me for the birth of my dreams, and Haley helped me do just that. I felt so comfortable with her after our initial consultation, and on top of that, my midwives raved about how great Haley has been to work with! Labor and delivery was so scary to me at first, and Haley helped me feel so calm and prepared, which helped me to overcome my fear and actually feel excited about it! Haley helped to answer so many questions along the way, and she provided helpful resources, suggestions for navigating symptoms, and recommendations of others to add to my team based on my personal goals. She also helped me draft my birth plan and prepare for my prenatal appointments. Once I went into spontaneous labor at home, Haley gave me reminders of things I could do to cope with the contractions until she came to my house to help me in person. She was SO calm during a time that could have been so scary without her, which really set the tone for our entire labor and delivery experience. Once we felt it was a good time to go to the hospital, she followed us there, and the timing of our arrival was absolutely perfect. I was admitted into labor and delivery, arrived to my room, and was ready to push! Twelve minutes later, our sweet boy arrived. Haley had such a calm presence during delivery and set the room up perfectly. We had the prettiest string lights, aromatherapy, and a cold compress. She had water and snacks ready for me, and she took plenty of pictures to help us remember the moment. She checked in during the days after birth and visited our home about a week later to check in. I am forever grateful for Haley, and I truly believe my pregnancy, labor, and delivery experience was so positive due to having her on our team. We'll definitely be working with her again if/when that time comes. If you're expecting, I highly recommend having Haley as part of your team!
