It is not often in life when you feel you cant control situations but child birth is one of those things that is so unpredictable. Not in a bad way, but just so many unknowns, so many firsts. When you are expecting for the first time you have no idea what to expect. I am such a planner and knew I could only plan so much for this unpredictable event in my life. Having Alyssa help navigate us through all that we could potentially expect reassured my husband and I. We felt empowered by the knowledge we gained from Alyssa. She was there every step of the way and was super responsive to any questions and concerns we had. She is patient, compassionate, and most importantly kind. She taught me that I had the strength and ability to envision the birth I wanted. That I could control this unpredictable situation to an extent and that she would be by our side when the time came for baby to enter this world. By far, this was an invaluable service through which I gained the confidence to overcome my fears of birth, recognize that I was born to handle this, position my mindset appropriately and go through child birth resulting in the outcome I so wholeheartedly wanted... Healthy baby with no drugs, no epidural, no c-section... just my innate power to birth a child in the most natural way. For this my husband and I recommend Alyssa and we are proud to share our positive story so other first time parents can experience what we did. We also called upon Alyssa for the birth of our second child. My pregnancy was completely different and because the second time around I was considered to be advanced maternal age doctors were trying to pressure me to have my baby early. Thankfully Alyssa was by our side to help us be empowered and make the best decisions for us. The experience was just as helpful a second time around.
