Having Sandra as our sibling doula was one of the best decisions we made for our growing family. From the moment we met Sandra, she brought such calm, warmth, and understanding to the process. We are beyond grateful for her support during the delivery of our second baby girl.
I was nervous to be apart from my oldest, Heidi, during the delivery. Sandra was so kind and such a blessing, as she truly took the time to understand my anxieties about leaving Heidi. She was compassionate towards my feelings and made time to get to know me and Heidi so that when I was in hospital I could focus on baby number two. It was an incredible relief to know that Heidi was home safe and happy with Sandra. Heidi loved Sandra, who is playful and so warm with children. I knew Heidi was in the best of hands with Sandra.
I went into labour 4 weeks early, which was also two days after moving into a new house. It was such a surprise and I felt so ill prepared for the arrival of our second baby, as we had not even began to unpack our new home. We cannot thank Sandra enough for her time and presence during this time!! My water broke and we called her to come to our aid as I rushed to the hospital. Sandra dropped everything to be with my Heidi for two nights. Sandra even missed a family wedding to be there for my family, which will forever mean the world to me and my husband. This really speaks to the core of who Sandra is, so reliable and consistent, ready to support mom and family during the most precious and vulnerable moments of life. She also helped us unpack while I was in hospital, so I came home to folded clothes in my drawers and even in our daughters’ rooms.
Knowing that our Heidi was in loving, capable hands while we focused on the birth gave us incredible peace of mind. We are so grateful for Sandra’s care and couldn’t recommend her more highly!
