Raquel is unbelievable! I couldn't have dreamt up a better Doula if I tried. She helped me with my first time birthing experience. First, providing detailed worksheets and resources, helping to create a birth plan, and doing virtual meetings to talk about any questions I had. I felt informed and confident going into my birth and knowing Raquel would be there gave me peace of mind.
While my brith did not go at all as I had planned, Raquel created a safe, warm, calm environment for me and my husband. Without her, I beleive this would have been a very scary, alarming experience, but with Raquel by me and my husband's side it was the most beautiful moment of my life.
She made sure I was comfortable the entire time, facilitating my breath and supporting me with massage, breathwork, and aroma therapy through my contractions. She knew what my needs were before I even realized, making sure I was comfrotable, fed, and hydrated. She was there to explain what was happening when my baby's heart rate dropped and there was a rush of people in the room. I felt so safe and at ease because she was with me. She held my hand through the epidural and even stayed with me to make sure I was settled in the postpartum care room with my baby.
