Leah was made to be a doula.
Before meeting Leah, I heard her name floating around the Boise area multiple times and knew she had to be the best. Being my third birth (second unmedicated), I knew I wanted someone with a lot of empathy, expertise, and confidence in their work to be on our team. On our first call with her we got along really well and she spoke my language when it came to what I wanted in a birth. She helped us feel confident in our decision to have a home birth after two healthy hospital births, which was something my husband would have never done out of protection for me, without the wonderful conversations with our birth team. She was comforting and educational prior to labor and at my very quick and intense home birth she was the perfect person to be there. I called her at 1:30am. She came right away and my baby arrived at 3:40am as our midwife had just walked in the door. I can still hear her comforting voice now. She knew exactly what I needed and what to say. She left my birth after I was comfortable and ready to be alone with my baby. A couple of days later I texted her "you were made to be a doula" and I will recommend her a thousand times to anyone wanting a supportive birth team. She also specializes in hypnobirthing. While I used the tracks for birth prep and some hypnobirthing techniques in labor which absolutely helped with my mindset, she also does a full educational class on it. I had such a wonderful postpartum visit with her. Leah affirmed me that I needed this third baby. This was by far my best birthing experience, and I've never had a happier postpartum (8 weeks currently). Thank you Leah!!
