Testimonial for Melinda Ferguson
This was our first baby and I was very nervous about being us being in the delivery room alone with someone to help guide us. My mother had attended all the births in my family but sadly passed away a year before we conceived. During our interview this was something I brought to the attention of how I thought my mom would always be there and I would feel safe. Melinda was very understanding and supportive of this strong emotions around this situation. After our conversation in the interview we hung up and my husband said they are the ones and I felt the same. I walked away feeling safe already. Melinda was so supportive throughout the pregnancy and classes helped us feel confident going into the delivery. On the day or days of labor Melinda provided everything I had hoped to feel safe and comfortable. I didn't once feel scared or unsafe with Melinda there. I was having a hard labor and we with a lot of information and choices to make if Melinda had not been there we are both confident our birth plan would not have been followed and we would have felt so helpless.
