If only "Thank You" felt like enough. From our first phone call with LeNay to this very day, my husband and I could not be more thankful our paths crossed with hers.
My husband and I knew we wanted to work with a doula for our first pregnancy, so we started with a recommended list of doulas in the area. Luckily, LeNay was our first and last call. From that very first phone call, we could tell LeNay was kind, positive, exciting, welcoming, and supportive- everything we were looking for in a doula.
Leading up to the birth, LeNay frequently checked in on us, sent us supportive information and met us in person multiple times to plan for the big day. LeNay was always flexible in where and when to meet, and made herself available whenever we reached out to her. When the big day finally came, LeNay made all the difference in making it the very best experience possible for both my husband and me. She was in constant contact with us (even throughout the night), making plans for each little milestone until she met us at the hospital. Our most important goal was to have an unmedicated birth and we could not have done it without LeNay, truly. She was our biggest advocate, the voice we needed every step of the way. LeNay was professional and collaborative with every single person on our care team. I remember the exact moment I thought I could not handle the contractions any more... if it were not for LeNay suggesting they check to see how dilated I was (8.5cm!), our birth story would have been very different. I think about that moment often and am forever grateful LeNay kept our top goals in mind, which led to a successful unmedicated birth- what an absolute privilege and experience I will never forget!
LeNay will always have a special place in our hearts as she helped bring our beautiful baby boy into this world- she truly is doing God's work. We can't wait to work with her again in the future!!
