As a first time mom, I knew I wanted an unmedicated birth at a birth center. The midwives there told me I'd need a doula for when I delivered, so I started doing my research. I found Jacque's profile and really thought she'd be a great match for me. At our initial meeting, she went over so much information with me. She discussed natural ways to help manage pain, different birthing positions, and went over my birth plan with me. I went into the meeting feeling nervous and not knowing what to expect. I walked away from it feeling more confident and excited for birth. I went into labor on the day Jacque was on call for me at 38 weeks. Let me just say, she was an absolute rockstar during my birth. She used counter pressure to help me through every contraction I had. Anytime I wanted to switch up my position during labor, she helped me achieve whatever I wanted. I was in so much pain, but I swear I couldn't have gotten through my daughter's birth without Jacque by my side. I plan on having another child in the future and I would love to work with her again. She is hands down the best!
