Doula Review
I am so fortunate to have Chris Ng be my postpartum nanny twice. The first time was in 2022 with our son. I could not imagine being a first time mom and navigating having a newborn without her.
Chris is such a kind, smart, and caring individual. She is honest, efficient and has a strong work ethic. She is always planning and thinking ahead which makes caring for a brand new baby feel not frantic or chaotic. Instead, it felt like everything moved smoothly and easily. She is a loving presence and has a happy, cheerful energy when you are around her.
Chris cared very deeply about our baby’s well-being. I’ve learned so much from her experience and watched how she observes how the baby is behaving and looks for his cues. She will see if adjustments can be made to feedings, sleep times, sleep training, latching, soothing techniques, etc…She’ll continually make subtle improvements to see if anything can be made better for you or your baby.
For postpartum recovery, her knowledge on recovery, how to make rich soup broths and lactation teas (devised from her own formulas), how to protect and care for my body was invaluable. I felt strong, emotionally level, and rested so that I could enjoy being with my baby even when some days or nights felt long.
In 2024, when I got pregnant again the first people to know were us, our doctor and Chris! We were so glad Chris was available to help our family again with our second son, Asher. Things fell into place smoothly but of course each baby is different and Chris was there on day one to guide us which felt so reassuring.
Chris is someone you want to be part of your support team. I can say she immediately became part of our family. She made our home and caring for our babies so happy and full of laughter. I wish this kind of experience for any mom with a newborn.
