I cannot recommend Jen highly enough. I met her barely 18 hours before my water broke—truly a last-minute connection that changed my birth story. Because my baby was measuring large, my OB team was strongly anticipating a C-section. However, having delivered my first child vaginally and knowing there were no other immediate medical concerns, I was determined to achieve a vaginal birth again.

Even more miraculously, based on my late-night symptoms, she predicted labor was only a day or two away. Sure enough, my water broke the very next morning.
Once at the hospital, I faced the common pressure point when dilation was slow, and induction was immediately suggested. This is where Jen and her backup team shined. Her teammate helped me work through various comforting movements to encourage progress naturally. Despite the hospital staff's rush, I felt empowered to ask the doula team to hold the line on induction, as I correctly anticipated my natural oxytocin surge would occur in the evening. I made this decision knowing I was being monitored and everything was safe.
As labor intensified around 8 PM, I took the epidural to manage the pain and focus on regulating my breathing, which was vital for my desired delivery. I was able to rest for an hour, and by 10 PM, it was time to push. Thanks to the support and planning Jen initiated, I delivered my baby vaginally, exactly as I had wanted.
