I highly recommend a doula for everyone; it's not just for people wanting an unmedicated birth or homebirth. It was such a blessing to have the help and expertise of Amelia in the hospital. We could not have done it without her. Having an extra experienced and empathetic support person was how we had such a successful birth. I had to be induced early for preeclampsia, and Amelia went through how she would support us through that process. With her help, I was still able to have an unmedicated vaginal birth, which was a desire of mine. Had I needed more interventions or a c-section, it was nice to know that she still would be there to help us through whatever happened. Carli's breastfeeding teaching and resources were so helpful, and she cares about her clients and her doulas. It's so nice to have people to reach out to, especially as a first time mom. Willow Tree is amazing!
