I connected with Chelsey later in my pregnancy (around 34 weeks), but from the start she felt incredibly prepared and reassuring. I really appreciated that she never tried to push her own views or birth plan on me. She met me exactly where I was — with a very go-with-the-flow attitude for my second delivery. My only real goals were a healthy baby and a delivery that would allow me to recover well postpartum, and Chelsey supported that wholeheartedly.
When labor came, things moved very quickly. As soon as she arrived, Chelsey transformed the room into a calming space with aromatherapy and candlelight, which set such a peaceful tone. She jumped right in with counter-pressure and gentle encouragement, especially when my epidural didn’t work. Since my husband tends to get a little queasy, it was such a gift to have her by my side through the toughest parts.
Even when complications arose, Chelsey remained steady, supportive, and encouraging. She stayed with us through the golden hour and beyond, which gave us so much comfort during such an intense experience.
This birth was completely different from my first, and having Chelsey there for one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, made all the difference. I am so grateful for her presence, her calm, and her care for both me and my husband. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.
