I can't say enough good words about Stephanie and How2Mom. She was our doula for our first birth, she walked us through all of the typical first time parent questions with love and understanding. She gave us such practical tips and genuinely made us feel like she is there for whatever we need. When we got pregnant with our second, she was one of the first to know because more than anything, I knew I needed her on my team. She once again showered us with compassion, thoughtfulness and dedication. My second birth went pretty fast, but in the thick of it, I heard her voice telling me I was doing great and to listen to my body and I felt relief wash over me. Knowing she was there with her support gave me an instant sense of peace.
For both of our births, she has first come to our home and helped us outline our wants and expectations. She gave us practical tips for help in labor and encouraged us with her heartfelt words that we were meant for this baby and that my body knew the birth the baby needed. She was there for us through labor, reminding me of my why, and telling me I could do it! After birth she was there for any questions we had and came to visit again at our home. I encapsulated my placenta with her both times as well which helped in my postpartum phase!
