After the birth plan for my first son did not go according to plan, I was determined to ensure my second pregnancy and birth had the support I needed to help me meet my goals of an unmedicated, no intervention birth. I am so grateful I found Rachel through a recommendation from a friend because I couldn't imagine my birth without her! I had my dream birth, Rachel was with me throughout my pregnancy helping calm anxieties and answering questions with wisdom and care. She was always available and eager to support me in whatever way she could. Her classes and physical support were fantastic in prepping me for labor, and when I went into labor she was the guide and support I needed. She helped me and my husband welcome our second son into the world exactly as I had hoped - full of peace and calm. Come to find out my baby was born nuchal hand (compound presentation with hand next to face), this was causing him not to drop as he should and the positions she encouraged me to use got him to descend properly. My midwife was grateful for her support and thinks my labor would've been much longer had it not been for the spinning babies support. Post pardum she was kind, gentle, and so supportive. My only complaint is that I don't get to keep seeing her regularly! She's a joy to be around, she has truly found her calling, the fruit of her God-given gift is evident. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a wise, experienced, peaceful, calm support during labor. She was also great with my husband who was skeptical of an out-of-hospital birth. I hope she can attend the births of all my future children.
