Her attention to detail, determination to give you the birth you desire, and the compassion of someone who loves what they do, was unmatched and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to support my husband and I during a tough 24 hour, unmedicated back only labor at a birth center. She was there every step of the way starting at 2 AM, both physically supporting me in different labor positions when the contractions seemed never ending and progress was stalling, and mentally as I was exhausted and felt that it would never result in my sweet baby girl. Fiona was/is so professional working with my midwives when labor stalled and continuing to suggest ways for me to progress the labor leading the way to know all of my options, making informed decisions, and reminding me of my desires to continue unmedicated even when exhaustion was setting in. I never once felt unsupported or a burden with how long it took and felt that if Fiona had not been there supporting me and helping me along in the manner she did, I would have never had the experience and overall exceptional birth I had. Her guidance prenatally, during the birth, and postpartum have made me feel less alone and, with the right people by my side, amazing things can happen and the birth of my first was nothing short of a testament to Fiona’s skills and love for what she does. She will forever be apart of my daughter’s story and we are grateful!
