Lauren is a fantastic doula and mother and choosing to work with her during my pregnancy was one of the best gifts I could’ve given myself in preparing to welcome my first child. Lauren is extremely knowledgeable; her passion for birth work really shows in how she shows up for her clients. She is also very patient, flexible and a wonderful communicator which made me always feel listened to, supported and safe. My OB left a lot to be desired, and without Lauren’s support I think my birth experience would have been much more stressful. But with Lauren by our side through a long (and unfortunately failed) induction, and then an unplanned but non-emergent c section, we felt so supported; she advocates for her clients; she’s a true professional and she will hold space for you when needing to process all the big feelings that come with such a pivotal and poignant moment in life. Another reason we loved Lauren - she is extremely body positive - I am a plus size person and wanted to work with someone who could advocate for me in a medical system that sometimes feels more complicated for those of us in larger bodies; so glad we chose to work with her.
