Not sure that I've ever written two reviews for one business but it just goes to show that Liz is worth it.
My husband and I were unsure about getting a doula for my second pregnancy since the process wasn't brand new to us anymore. That being said I knew that no two birth stories are the same and when I thought back to my first pregnancy, I knew that one thing was for sure; I needed Liz in the room with me during labour.
The second time around Liz gave us a more customized experience tailored to what we needed. This allowed me to focus on navigating things with a toddler without wasting my time on things I already knew. The moment she walked into our home aagain I felt an immediate wave of relief. Liz always provides support without judgement. She was there for me when I was on the fence about induction, and gave great tips on how to manage my first child after the second arrived.
When I went into labour she once again helped not just myself but also my husband. As the contractions became more challenging I knew I could listen for her voice and she would give me the encouragement I needed to get through it. The words never felt tacky or repetitive, but actually empowering and genuine.
This birth experience was different from my first, but one thing that remained the same was that Liz (once again) helped to make it exactly what I wanted it to be.
