I cannot say enough good things about working with Tiffany for my VBAC birth. Tiffany came highly recommended from my OBGYN as an experienced, calm, and supportive doula. I am so grateful for that introduction. I know I would not have been able to have my dream calm, safe, and empowered VBAC birth without her at my side.
In the lead up to labour, Tiffany checked in on me frequently and was personally invested in my pregancy. She never made me feel like I was overstepping or oversharing; rather, she asked questions and gave me helpful recommendations, including a fantastic acupuncturist. Once my due date came and went, she was instrumental in keeping me calm and focused. Her hilarious texts helped me find humour in a tough situation, and she spent countless hours on the phone giving me pep talks when I was weighing the pros and cons of induction. One special advantage of working with Tiffany is that she knows all the hospitals and many of the providers in Chicago personally! So she had valuable insights when navigating the system.
When I finally went into labour, I could not have been more grateful to have Tiffany at my side. She created a calm atmosphere and knew exactly what to say to keep my and my partner's spirits up. She was a gentle advocate and helped to keep my birth safe and low-intervention. She was able to explain medical choices to me without overstepping the OBGYNs/nurses, and never spoke in my place. She kept me moving even after my epidural, which was critical to getting my baby in an optimal position and allowing for a tear-free birth. She showed my husband how to best support me in labour and took beautiful pictures of our family. I cannot say enough good things about Tiffany. Following birth, her visit at our house felt like a reunion with a dear friend.
