I am a first time mom and knew very early in my pregnancy that I wanted to find a doula to support my husband and I during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. We were immediately drawn to Chelsea during the interview process. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and felt extremely genuine in her responses. We enjoyed working with and learning from her. She was accessible by phone/text and always responded in a timely manner. One thing I really appreciated about Chelsea is that she listens. If we ever voiced concerns, or had questions, she listened and responded in just the way that we needed to provide reassurance. She encourages “over communication” which is just what an anxious first time mom needs. She was AMAZING during my labor. So much so that the nurses asked about her afterwards. I am certain that I would have had a much different labor experience without her. She also stuck around after my delivery to be sure that our plans outlined in the birth plan were respected and that myself, my husband, and our baby were well supported. She checked in regularly and visited postpartum. When I struggled with breast feeding, she sat on FaceTime with me to walk through a pumping session. Even after she completed her contractual agreement, she continued to check in with us and offer support. I would 100% recommend Chelsea’s services and look forward to working with her again in the future.
