I could go on for hours about Vanessa (and often do with friends and family). Vanessa is loving, kind, faithful, intelligent and any other good attribute you could apply to someone. When I reached out to Vanessa about becoming a patient, I mentioned the concern about being able to afford her, she said “don’t let money be the reason you don’t do this. We will make it work if this is what’s right for your family”. I was blessed to work with Vanessa as my midwife into the third trimester, when I then had to transfer care to an OB. She advocated for me through every step of making sure I was able to get the appropriate care for myself and my baby in the transfer. She voiced her desire to join us at birth as a doula, which helped defuse most of the stress and concern surrounding a hospital birth. We shared laughs as she supported me and advocated for me during labor, and shared tears as she held my hand as they took my daughter to the nicu. She stayed by my side until I could be back with my husband and daughter. And to this day she continues to support us. Vanessa was put on this earth to do the work she does for mothers, babies and their families. If you want support, love, a whole bunch of informed consent and a birth you can be truly happy and at peace about no matter what surprises you may get- you want Vanessa to be your provider.
