Since I have a history of stillbirth and miscarriage, birth can hold a lot of trauma for me. I wanted a doula who could support the ways I wanted a more natural birth, but also respecting and supporting that I needed a hospital birth and scheduled induction. I also wanted someone who was used to working with families who have experienced loss before, and would be very comfortable with the ways I wanted to include my angel babies during my birth. She did such a graceful job coaching me through my scheduled induction, that ultimately was a much longer birth than I was used to/expecting.
She was also so helpful during our postpartum visit. We are so thankful we chose to invest in having Charity as a part of our birth team.
