Bree was my doula for all 3 of my babies' births. Prior to hiring The Birth Collective, I had read about doulas and thought it might help me have a more empowering experience and avoid a C-section. I had no idea the pivotal role she would play in our lives.
She has supported us through quite possibly the widest range of human experiences, from third trimester loss to pregnancy anxiety, to postpartum newborn care, to an unmedicated waterbirth. If the universe could produce a person ideal for ushering you through all of those, it is Bree.
Bree has the knowledge, experience and intuition to support every type of birth, and do so with just the right energy and attitude needed. She has a wonderful sense of humor which was such a breath of fresh air during some really dark times for me, but she also is more than able to sit with grief and discomfort. She is respected by the medical providers and can advocate for her clients' care and comfort effectively. I'll never be able to fully thank her for the way she supported me in the most transformative experiences of my life.
I tell all of my pregnant friends to hire a doula, but really I wish they could all hire Bree .
