We hired Dé for labor, delivery, and postpartum visits. At all points we were thankful to have Dé with us to help guide us through our first birth. She is a caring, thoughtful doula who loves her work and is a joy to be around.
Dé came to our home weeks before labor and helped us get ready for delivery day. When the day came, we ended up not needing her at home and she met us at the hospital. It was nice to have her help guide my wife through the pushing stage and she had a strong understanding of how to make me wife keep pushing while staying as comfortable as one can be. We were happy to have a doula like Dé there in the hospital. We did not have complications during delivery.
Postpartum, we were really happy to have Dé come and do night visits. To have some full interrupted nights of sleep were great. Dé would wash bottles, feed and take care of baby and then text us all the events of the night. It helped us log feedings.
Overall, we were happy hiring a doula and were happy that we found Dé to help us.
