We moved to Houston when I was 38 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy). My goal was an unmedicated birth in a hospital and Fiona was essential to helping me achieve that goal. Fiona accommodated our short timeline (we had baby at 39 weeks!), created our birth plan based on our wants, educated us about what to expect at the hospital (questions we'd be asked, who would be coming in and out of the room), and coached me through the labor. Fiona's postpartum visit was the conversation I didn't know I needed. She reminisced the labor and delivery day, listened to my postpartum struggles, and provided local resources (postpartum mom group, lactation consultants, postpartum doulas) which saved me the mental bandwidth of finding those resources on my own.
