Elyse was a wonderful doula for our queer, first-timers family. She was extremely helpful in the perinatal phase, patiently answering all of our questions and providing great educational resources. Before our induction, Elyse helped us gauge what capacity was like with her special insider knowledge, and helped us prepare for what a scheduled induction might look like. During this tense time, Elyse was constantly available to answer any and all questions. During the birth, Elyse was a calm, helpful and supportive presence during a hectic (of course) labor that had required some unexpected interventions. Elyse was invaluable during the "golden hour" time helping my wife and baby with latching for the first time. Finally, Elyse was a fantasic sounding board afterwards, helping us process the events of the labor and birth. I could not recommend her highly enough to any expecting families.
