Her knowledge and ability to see the big picture helped me repeatedly during pregnancy and labor. She helped my husband and I think critically and sometimes outside the box ahead of time during planning and helped me understand various symptoms I faced throughout pregnancy. She’s very responsive and explains things in a way that’s easy for me to understand. She was a perfect reminder during labor of how I wanted my child’s life to begin and her presence helped me remember my priorities.
Brandi’s strength inspired and challenged me in the best of ways to be the most capable version of myself during labor. She brought me so much confidence in my own ability as well as in our birth plan. With her guiding me, I felt like we were harnessing my contractions and directing labor to make progress rather than just aimlessly letting labor happen. She advocated for me and helped me communicate with the hospital staff when I was too nervous or overwhelmed to do it without support.
