I was so very fortunate to be one of Sonny's very first clients. Having a doula is one of the very best decisions. I wish I had known doulas existed when I had my first child. It would have saved me from a whole lot of unneccesary trauma; someone to help talk you through your birth plan, someone to help you make educated decisions, someone to help advocate for you when you're in a vulnerable state and may not be able to advocate for yourself, someone to help guide you and coach you through the process, someone that is there to help with anything you may need postpartum, and so much more.
I had a very traumatic experience with my 1st pregnancy and birth and was so scared to have to go through that again. This time, I knew exactly what I did not want. Sonny was there for me through all of it. She helped me get my thoughts and wishes down on paper. She provided me with resources to make informed decisions. She was always a listening ear and a source of comfort. Even though it was during Covid and she wasn't allowed at the hospital with me, she was able to check in via FaceTime to make sure everything was going smoothly and as planned.
I highly recommend Sonny to anyone that is looking for a special and personalized birth experience. You will not regret having her by your side. She is sweet, soft spoken, and just a great source of love, light, and positivity.
