Alissa was an absolute life saver in the birth of our first child. She has such a calming presence, knows her stuff and is so supportive to the whole family in labor. (my husband and mom were so relieved when she got there as well). She's the perfect balance between chill and supportive but also proactive and making you do the things you need to in labor, which I so appreciaed. She read the hospital room so great and really came in clutch in active labor when I felt like I was getting near the end of my mental strength, her calming voice and words of encouragement were so perfectly timed. Not to mention all the different counter pressures/massages environmental things she did that helped me get through the most intense parts of active labor.
