It being our first birth, she helped me to keep calm and feel empowered and was able to guide my husband in the best ways to support me. She even ensured my husband ate and drank throughout the labor as well. Even after our midwives had left, Joy was here tidying up, making sure we were fed and had what we needed. She was not only attentive during labor, but also before and after the birth, answering my many questions and providing encouragement.
