I cannot say enough good things about Simone. She is such an incredible doula that if I were ever to have another baby, I wouldn’t give birth without her by my side. From the very beginning, she helped me feel prepared and cut through all the noise that comes with pregnancy and birth. A hospital is ultimately a business, and Simone truly acts like your personal consultant, giving you valuable knowledge and perspective so you can advocate for yourself.
She worked so beautifully with my whole support circle—my husband and my mom—making sure everyone knew how they could support me best. During labor, when I was in intense back pain, Simone was right there with me through every contraction, supporting both me and my husband. When my mom joined for the pushing stage, Simone encouraged her to be close to me so I could benefit from that oxytocin boost to help move labor along.
When my contractions slowed down, Simone suggested hand-expressing colostrum, knowing it could help get things back on track—and it worked. When the nurse came back, she was pleased to see I had progressed, and I know those little things Simone did made a big difference in my birth experience.
Simone’s expertise extended beyond labor as well. I have thalassemia minor, and because of her personal experience with her own child’s sickle cell anemia, she guided me through iron prep during pregnancy. She helped me find ways to improve my iron levels, understand my options, and stay confident in my choices despite the overwhelming amount of hospital information.
Having Simone as my doula gave me the reassurance, support, and advocacy I didn’t even realize I needed. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in helping you have the best birth possible. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.
