I was able to avoid a c-section because of Elise.
When my water broke on a Friday night, I informed Elise immediately and she was there for me virtually at first and physically as my labor progressed through Monday morning.
I had a two day journey to actually going into labor. The doctors allowed me to wait 36 hours prior to starting my first induction to see if labor started naturally. It did not. I went through my first induction and did not go into labor. We waited a couple hours, started the second induction, Elise being there virtually all through the induction process. Once the second induction started, Elise made her way to the hospital to work her Doula magic to get Baby in the right position to make me go into labor.
And her Doula magic worked! Once she got there, after doing different exercises & positioning techniques, I went into labor about 1.5 hours later on Sunday night. She stayed with me throughout the night and into the morning, when I started pushing and Baby arrived!
Without Elise, my birth story would have been completely different. I am so thankful she was there for me throughout my whole journey, from pregnancy to birth!
Oh, and my husband loved having her throughout the journey, especially at the birth!! It was also great to see her after Baby arrived when she came to check in on us post partum.
I HIGHLY recommend working with Elise as your Doula!
