Jessica provided invaluable support during the birth of our son and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Even though my husband and I are well practiced at advocating for ourselves in medical environments, labor is entirely different ballgame full of decisions to be made relatively quickly, each with their own cascading implications. Jessica provided us tools to make the best decisions we could in alignment with our birth goals. Based on our medical team's guidance, we did a 39 week induction; unfortunately, my body wasn't fully ready, which led to an extended labor that had some stressful moments. Jessica's presence and expertise during active labor made it possible for me to deliver vaginally. I'm wholly convinced that without her, we would have ended up with a cesarean after laboring for over a day. Jessica was by my side all night long, exuding patience and calmness. She spent countless hours on her feet getting me into different positions, supporting my body, and expertly guiding our baby through my pelvis. Her competence, confidence, compassion, and positivity made her the ideal support person through a challenging birth. I have such deep gratitude to her--and to my former self for making the best decision to work with her!
