I was hesitant about hiring a doula at first, but now I believe every woman should experience the empowerment a doula brings to such a vulnerable and raw moment in life. Sheri offers calm, kind, and loving support while also being grounded, informed, and educated—qualities that make such a difference when important decisions arise.
Although my birth did not go as I had originally planned, I always felt confident knowing I was fully supported. I’m especially grateful for the way Sheri guided my husband, helping him understand how to best support me during labor.
Sheri is personable and truly cares about learning your birth preferences before delivery. Even though we hired her after the 30-week mark, she was flexible and made time for us. She supported me before labor officially began, answered every text, and offered practical advice to help me through the challenges of pre-labor. I still think of her often -- having her helped me understand my anxiety around birth and helped me realize how to accept the things I cannot control.
I honestly have no words to fully express how thankful I am for Sheri. She was exactly who I needed by my side throughout labor and delivery, and I will forever be grateful for her presence.
