Kristin met with us prior to my due date to walk me through ways she can step in and support. She was so thoughtful and intentional with her communication and listened carefully and intently to my desires and worries around pregnany and birth. She even toured our hospital independently so she could feel confident navigating it the day I went into labor. Prior to my due date, she would provide suggestions for activities, stretches, snacks, and to-dos to help prepare me for labor. It was so nice to know that I could text her with any question or concern that came up.
Kristin spent over 9 hours overnight with us in the hospital for my labor, and I don't know how we would have survived without her. Kristin asked questions in the delivery room that I never would have though to ask, put me in positions that were essential for progressing labor, and was always honest and encouraging in a gentle yet guiding way. It's such a blessing that she was there to welcome my baby boy into the world, and it's such a gift to share with him that she was there creating a positive environment on his birthday. She helped us recount the birth experience after the fact -- you don't realize how much you don't remember! -- and gave us lifelong memories with photos and videos. My mom has five kids and got to be there for our 1-week follow-up visit with Kristin, and she called my sisters and all her friends afterward to tell them how she wished she had someone like Kristin at all of her births!
