Amanda was a godsend during the delivery of our first child and throughout the early postpartum period.
We had a 24 hour labor and the early stages lasted quite long. Amanda’s confidence and knowledge of various pain relief methods helped me tremendously. Although the delivery day itself is somewhat of a blur, I distinctly remember that at the very end I was endlessly grateful for her presence.
She continued assisting us after the delivery as well. We had to stay in the hospital for a week due to complications and had to scramble to manage baby care logistics. Amanda was right there, proactively helping us get everything arranged. Once we got home, she guided us in learning the ropes of caring for our baby and helped set up various baby care stations around the house. She also connected us with a lactation consultant and was incredibly helpful whenever we had all sorts of new parent questions. Again, she was confident and proactive. She just knew what needed to be done and got it done while we were recovering from an exhausting hospital stay.
