Chelsea has been such an invaluable support for my husband and I throughout pregnancy, labor, and post-partum. Hiring her was perhaps the best decision we made in this whole process.
I have a fair bit of medical anxiety, and wanted to hire a doula to help me navigate childbirth and advocate for me in the hospital. Chelsea did that and so much more. I texted her throughout my pregnancy with questions and concerns which prevented me from going down Google rabbit holes of anxiety. She always responded promptly, clearly, and honestly. It was so wonderful having easy access to an expert during this time filled with uncertainty and questions.
During labor Chelsea provided so much emotional and practical support, giving me information and reassurance through every step (including an occasion where a doctor should have but did not). She also guided my husband and my mom on how to best support me and take care of themselves too. Part of what was so helpful was her leadership. She understood my wants and needs and then coordinated with the nurses and my family to make it all happen.
And after baby was born my husband and I repeatedly reached out to her for guidance on all sorts of infant care topics, especially feeding and soothing. We also hired her for overnight care which was fantastic, we slept so well knowing that she was tending to our baby.
I cannot recommend Chelsea highly enough. She's been such an amazing support to us and my husband and I are so grateful for her.
