From the very start, she guided me through early laboring as my labor stalled, she made sure I always was informed and empowered in every decision I was presented by the medical staff to get things moving again, while coaching me through the most natural options.
When active labor began and everything progressed quickly, Julie became my anchor. She protected my space, advocated for my wishes, and translated my needs to the PA and OB when my voice was just a one-worded whisper. Thanks to her calm and steady support, I was able to avoid unnecessary interventions and have the 3rd natural birth I had hoped for—without Pitocin, without an epidural, and without tearing.
