I cannot put into words how grateful I am for the support and care Laura Fortner from North Dallas Doula Associates gave me and my husband during my pregnancy and birth. From the very beginning, she was warm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. We met with her several times before delivery, and every time she left me feeling more prepared, more confident, and more at peace about the journey ahead.
On the day of delivery, Laura was truly my anchor. She had such a calming presence. She knew exactly when to step in, when to encourage me, when to comfort me, and when to simply let me have my space. She not only supported me physically through the hardest moments, but also supported me emotionally and mentally. She helped me feel strong, safe, and cared for, even when I doubted myself.
She was also amazing at supporting my husband, gently guiding him so he could be fully present and engaged in the process. That meant so much to us both. On top of everything, Laura made sure to capture so many beautiful moments from our birth experience, memories that we will treasure forever.
Looking back, I cannot imagine going through this without her. Laura made the entire experience more peaceful, empowering, and meaningful than I ever thought possible. She is truly gifted at what she does, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!
