Where do I start? Working with Marissa Hathaway was one of the best decisions we made for our pregnancy journey! From the initial interview and getting to know you process, to our postpartum visits, and now our ongoing friendship- Marissa has been an invaluable support for our family.
When seeking out doula support, one of our most important qualifications was an individual who understood that they would be supporting both myself (as the birthing parent) and my husband. Marissa‘s commitment to getting to know our unique individual needs and supporting us, made for a comfortable birthing experience. It’s hard to believe that I can say that after three days of labor and an eventual C-section!
Marissa‘s ability to advocate for our needs, both in and out of the hospital, took so much off of our plates emotionally, and made room for us to experience becoming parents without our energy being spent on logistics and advocacy.
Marissa’s experience with size inclusive, queer inclusive, and trauma informed care was immediately evident and immensely important in our perinatal experience.
The Lemon Grove offers a beautiful facility that feels comfortable and functional. The community that we have met as a result of The Lemon Grove, will be lasting part of our lives for years to come. We highly recommend working with Marissa and her team.
