From the moment we started working with Chris we knew we were in the best hands. She was more than just our doula, she became family.
Before the birth, Chris prepared us thoroughly. She shared helpful resources, made sure we took birth classes, and patiently answered all of my many questions. She left us feeling informed, empowered, and safe going into the birth and we are really thankful she did because we needed it all.
I had an incredibly long and difficult labor. I truly believe I could not have had a vaginal birth without Chris. She was there every step of the way. When my water broke and my contractions were irregular she guided us through the uncertainty with calm, confidence, and compassion. At the hospital she was a mind reader, constantly providing what I needed before I even knew I needed it. It's not even possible to list all of the ways that she was able to help. Her strength, patience, and kindness got me through one of the most intense and difficult experiences of my life.
Even after birth, her care didn’t stop. She followed up with texts and calls, checking in on me and our baby, and visiting us for postpartum despite the extra distance to our home. It’s clear that Chris does this work because she genuinely cares and loves supporting families. I can’t imagine going through this experience without her. If you're considering a doula, please choose Chris. You will not find a more dedicated, loving, and capable support person. She helped us make the right decisions when it mattered most and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
