Without Carli and her doula group, my wife’s birth and post partum certainly would have been terrible. Carli supported my wife at every step of her pregnancy and was a key partner for our successful birth experience for our second kiddo. We met with her 2 times prior to birth, and walked through all our expectations and our birth plan. These steps were key to enable my wife to have confidence and strength after our very traumatic first birth experience. On the birth day, we had an induction and carli was communicative with us through out the process and arrived when my wife was half way dialated. She helped coach morgan throughout the birth and coordinate our needs to the nursing/doctor staff, in addition to myself. After delivery, Carli stayed with my wife 3-4 hours afterwards, while I followed my child up to NICU. This was key and so stress relieving to know my wife was in good hands and care while I had to attend to our kid’s care.
overall, a doula was key to helping my wife deliver confidently and my family to have a new healthy baby.
